Today relations between children and their parents are a very important problem for me because I, as a young teacher can`t understand why children don`t respect other people? They can say what they want. Does it mean that parents don`t pay more attention to their children?

What do you mean by "respect"? I think I understand one thing. Respect to others is a reflection of those human values that the child absorbs from the family and the social enviroment. Respect to others starts with how a child's parents demonstrate it when they socialize with others. If neglect towards others prevails in the family then it passes on to the child. The external social environment can set certain rules and limitations so that a child behaves properly and respectfully towards others. However, do we, teachers, show adequate respect to school children or do we resort to certtain defence mechanisms to bend the child's character to our will and our own vision of life? A positive answer can be found in christian values and principles, to an extent.

I agree with you but respect to others should come from family. The parents should be an example for children. If children behave so terrible to people, it`s becouse of parents I think. Today they have not time to explain their children what is good ang what is bad! They always are busy with their problems and than parents don`t notice wich kind of friends children have, when they begin to smoke and to shirk school.
There are many "problem children" in our school. Every day I write in the pupil's mark books that they don`t do homework but it`s useless, especially for parents!

Right you are!!! Every day teachers tell their pupils how to behave, how to treat each other and so on. But nothing helps. The only people who can help school are parents. Their way of life should be an example for their children.

I think that family will always be the main value for the children. But why are we so strict to children? They really love their parents and want to be the best for them. But it is so difficult to be an example of behaviour if the parents don`t support their child and instead of helping punish him for bad marks. The child is so helpless!

If children are not communicative or even aggressive, it's not thier fault. All of them have some problems in the families, they are lack of the parents' attention and love. It's very difficult for us as for teachers to work with such children, but our main aim is to understand them, to work with thier parents and to let them be succesful. Hte most difficult thing is to explain the problem to the parents. They are always sure they are right if they are too busy to communicate with sons and daughters, if they are too strict. Parents, love your real children, but not what you want to see in them!
