| Hi, everyone! A few years ago when I worked in the Teacher Development programme at Ryazan State University I showed the course participants a few activities aimed at teaching grammar with buttons. I wonder if anyone has ever used them in class. Nevertheless, I'd like to remind you of them. 1) Prepare a bag of buttons of verious size, colour, shape. You can ask your pupils to bring a few from home. It's necessary to have a set of 20-30 buttons per pupil. Collect the buttons and always keep them in the classroom. 2) Think of the grammar material that you plan to explain, e.g. Present Indefinite. 3) Prepare a few illustrative sentences like - I go for a walk in the park every day. 4) Take enough buttons to symbolize every work in the sentence. Big buttons are usually chosen for the notinal parts of speech - nouns, adjective, verbs, adverbs, whereas small buttons are good to indicate prepositions, articles, conjunctions, affixes, etc. 5) E.g., by adding a small button to the big "verb"-button GO, you indicate the 3d person singular 'GOes'. 6) Ask the pupils to build 'button-sentences' and read them out. Let them move the buttons to indicate different changes in the sentences. I can explain in more detail if you think it necessary.

| It is always boring to explain grammar rules. As for this activity it is great fun. Children will be excited I am sure. If you please , explain more details!
