He is the leader of a big nation that has great ambitions. The American international policy is in line with their vision of the world systems and global changes. As a powerful nation the USA understands that it can't but be the first angent on the international arena since they seem to understand the advantages of their social, political, cultural and economic policies because their effectiveness is proved by centuries of positive development. Another thing is that other nations have other sociocultural and sociopolitical approaches to the world systems. So we have arrived at the principle of multinational world. Multinational is not the same as international because the first presupposes an acceptance and appreciation of diversities whereas the second often involves a sociopolitical compromise.
