Balance in dieting

Balance in dieting, balance in weight-loss, and finally balance in weight-management. Life was not meant to be a prison. The world is supposed to be a playground!!! biggrin
Try water first, when hungry.
Eat less more often. For example: Eat less at breakfast, lunch and dinner. Then have a small nutritional snack in between those meals. Two things are then accomplished. You aren't as hungry at meal time, and you won't be tempted to overeat.
Starving yourself only results in your body down regulating your metabolism. Then the body tends to store more of the calorie load taken in at a regular meal.

Is the same true of men? If a man wants to lose some wieght, should he follow the same dieting pattern? I often miss meals during the day for different reasons though I understand that it is bad for health. What can you suggest?

I think he should. Talking about missing meals I can suggest taking a yoghurt and scisp bread with you. It's much better than sandwiches and things like that. And in any way don't forget that physical training is a great support in your attempts

Thanks, Lisa! I don't know what "scisp bread" is. Can you explain what it is? What in your opinion is the most balanced diet? Do you think that people have to keep to different dieting programmes because of differences in health, metabolism? We all inherit some eating patterns from our parents, grtandparents and we can say it is a kind of cultural phenomenon. Does a Russian diet differ from any foreign one? Does it depend on climate or social conditons? Is dieting good for children?

Oh, that was a slip of my pen. I meant crisp bread, I hope you know what it is. Dieting doesn't always mean some strict rules when you must be forbidden smth. In my opinion it's just a healthy way of eating with less fat and more vitamins and cellulose. Of course we inherit eating patterns from our parents but only you decide whether to follow these habits or have your own life and way of eating. And dieting is different in different countries as food is different, you just try to comfort to the circumstances and that's it. Speaking about children, I can suppose that any diet should be applied only in case of health demands but not just smb's desire.

Lisa, do I understand you correctly that you regularly keep to a diet? Do your diets change with seasons? Is your winter diet different form your spring diet, for example? What kind of healthy diet do you recommend for the winter season? More fat or less? More vitamins or just as usual? More meat or vegetables and fruit? More milk or juice?

Americans eat a lot. Most Americans don't eat home but prefer to go to restaurants. . Try not to eat bread at all. Don"t eat after 6 p.m during 1 month. You will lose your weight. Do you like going to McDonald in Ryazan?

I dislike going to McDonalds inRyazan.I think fast food is harmful for our health.

Hi, what do you think of a new McDonlads restaurant that is going to be built near the Cruise supermarket? I think it's a good location and will be quite a popular place among the Ryazanians.

We've already got one McDonalds in Ryazan, that's why I think it's no use opening another one. It's not the best way of eating. I belive that about 80 per sent of Americans are overweight.

I hate dieting! I don't think it helps everybody. There are a lot of other ways to lose weight. I'd like to know about some ones that can really be effective.

I agree with you, it isn't worth experimenting with your health, because it can have many side effects such as irritability,fatigue,fainting,eating disorders.Nowadays a lot of people are keen on weight-loss diets. Sometimes they even let commercials fool them into buying dubious tablets. As for me I simply have given up eating sweets,replaced fried potatoes with boiled;snack on dried fruit or nuts.

But how to do it)))) We don't have breakfasts and dinners but SUPPER is our favourite meal. biggrin
