Hi, everyone! I have often used interview-based tasks to innitiate authentic communication in class. Such a questionnaire is based on a certain grammar point and includes a set of statements or questions to be responded to by the students. Every student gets a ready-made questionnaire, interviews two or three classmates, sums up the info and presents the findings. Another variation is that students enlarge upon the model questionnaire. And still another one is when they follow the model and make up their own set of interview questions. In my opinion it is a good writing and speaking task. What do you think?
