Hi, Netters! I just want to know whether the Internet has moved to your homes. Does it live with you? Do your family folks use it every day? Your children - are they often there in virtual reality? How do you react? Are your reactions heard?

I should admit that I am a devoted user of the I-net. I find virtual life being a real spice and very "delicious". I can't spend a day without surfing there for different purposes. But now it is taking more and more time 'stealing' valuable moments from my real life... I am afraid of becoming dependent and losing balance...
Besides, my husband isn't a fan of it, and he can't understand why he has to cook supper watching me chatting in the net. :)))))))

It sounds so funny biggrin :D biggrin You will never become internet-addicted if you use the Cyberspace for various real-life purposes and needs. You have never called yourself book-addicted even if your husband could be cooking in the kitchen for the family at this time cool
A most reasonable attitude and approach to it is (I have a gut feeling for it) to time and schedule your virtual life for it to be part of your lifestyle and a harmonic extension of your reality respect respect

I am in the constant search for harmony. And I can't say that I am always a success in it. There are so many contradictions in my life!...
I am happy to make you smile so much having found my post funny! v

Computers allow us to access the latest information quickly. I am a devoted user of the Internet :'( First of all I can find necessary information for my lessons. I have installed the programme "Skype" and I can talk across seas and oceans. I have made new friends and I can chat with them on the Internet. I often send and receive e- mails. I think on the one hand computers offer wonderful opportunities for everybody, on the other hand we don't have much time for reading books, fitness...I think computers are addictive.

Dear Margo, trying to catch up with you. Please, think of starting a Webblog on using Skype for learning English. Since you are in programme 1, please begin with the following task.
Go to the FAQ-Theory and Practice, find the question on Internet-Facilitated EFL Teaching: Using Skype for building communicative skills. Please, write a detailed answer (what is Skype, where to get and how to install, ideas for classroom use).

As for me, besides chatting with friends I chat with my students and it helps me in my work. We discuss how to make a performance or a party, discuss what music to use (and simulteniously listen to it), etc. Sometimes we're too busy to discuss it at school and do it at home. And it works!
As for the family I'm trying to give attention to all of them. A good chat with your mum or sister on Sunday is worth 5 short senless talks during the week. Besides, when you don't spend much time at home (because you're simply busy at other places) you can't devote too much time to the Internet.

I think that nowadays it's very hard to imagine our life without the Internet. So, I am a very devoted user of it. Using the Internet, I get all the latest news and necessary information. Also with its help I can chat with my friends and relatives who are far away. So everyday, I spend at least 2 hours surfing there.

It's impoosible to live without the Unternet! I find the material for my work, study, communicate, rest here. The only problem is to find enough time for the family, work, hobbies and the Internet)

To tell the truth I haven't wathched TV for ages. Instead of it I use Internet. Coming home first of all I'm turning on my computer. The thing I like best of all - here I can find much useful information for my English lessons.
