| Hello friends, Not so long ago I came across a very popular software application called Skype. It allows users to make voice calls over the Internet. In teaching practice Skyping is a wonderful means for realization of on-line communication. Now I'm at the stage of exploring the potentialities that Skype can offer teachers and students and I should say they are really great! Have you ever tried Skype in your schools?

| I understand that you have started using Skype in your teaching. How do you use it? Do you use it right in class? Or do you use it after classes? As far as I know, Skype needs fast Internet access. Does anybody help you? Have you got a lesson sample in which you included Skype sessions?

| Well... so many questions in one message . Yes, I've started using Skype in teaching English. The time of the conference depends on a country our partner is from. When there were video conferences with our American friends my students had to come back to school at 4 p.m. And with our partners from Manchester we can communicate right in class. In spite of the fact that the Internet access in our school is just like in the other Ryazan schools we don't face any problems while Skyping. Even if we do our problems are not connected with the Internet quality but with the lack of my knowledge. Of course, our ICT teachers try to help me but they are too busy to do as often as I need it.
