Dear Netters, if you scroll up and down the main page, you will some news features.

The first one is a Tag Cloud/Word Cloud. This is a 3D automatic format that allows you to see which topics and themes are discussed on our site. The bigger and the bolder the word/phrase, the more frequently it is discussed on the site. It is filled in manually. If you click on any item in the word cloud, the system will take you directly to the entries which contain this key-word. But there are certain rules how to work with the Tag Cloud. Though simple and effective for an explicit mind map of themes and topics studied, it requires some knowledge and competence. For the time being, restrict your students from filling the Tag Cloud. I will explain these things at our next seminar which is due on 28 October, 4 p.m. in school 51. Please, wait. 

The second feature is an RSS channel (literally - Really Simple Syndication). In Russian it means очень простой сбор сводной информации. It actually means that what you see at the bottom of the page is a collection of news by an information agency. In our case, we started with the site Education Week, the USA, which has an RSS channel with news for English Language Learners. So, you can read or go through the news items that will take you directly to the official site.

The third item is in the menu bar. You can see the Photo Albums section there. I am inviting everyone to post photos that relate to the topic 'Pupils Change Life'. When you post a photo, make sure that it is related to the topic. The important thing is adding an accompaning text of about 3-5 sentences in whcih you will explain how the pupils in the photo really change life.
