The article provides the main criteria for evaluating Internet resources necessary for effective teaching academic writing, and proves that efforts to develop a set of such criteria of Internet interactivity may be helpful in teaching process. There is a variety of strategies that are intended to make teaching writing more effective (mix modes of Internet based interaction, learner-centered activities for both independent and group work to foster interaction, etc.) The implementation of the Internet in teaching writing provides students with the willingness to push and pull together and learn from one another while collaborating. The author of the article suggests a number of innovative methods of teaching writing traditional academic and non-traditional papers with the help of the Internet. In conclusion it is necessary to notice that introducing the Internet resources into academic writing process does not single out traditional methods of teaching, but vividly arises the effectiveness of teaching many times, stimulates students for further individual learning the English language in general. |
